WHO

WE ARE

Valour Workshop is an educational organisation that runs highly interactive workshops for high school boys in areas such as self-mastery, conviction and respect for women. Valour strives to break down toxic male stereotyping and believes in promoting a healthy appreciation of what it means to be a man. The workshops are run by young male facilitators who teach much-needed messages that combat pop culture influences and help boys to appreciate the contribution that authentic men living with Valour can make to society.

INTERACTIVE

LEARNING STYLE

Valour's interactive modules have a duration of one hour each, with:

- 30 minutes for facilitator-guided PowerPoint Presentation

- 30 minutes for student group work projects and presentations

WHAT PEOPLE

ARE SAYING

The members, directors and staff of the Dharriwaa Elders Group would like to thank AV Workshops for conducting learning sessions for the visiting group from the Dhuningarraaygal Dhiyaan Dhiirali (Old People Teaching Family) project during November 2013.

“Valour Workshop’s activity ‘Men in the Media’ does a great job at encouraging young men to find positive male role models in both the media and their personal lives.”

The Be Body Positive Advisory and Assessment Panel were impressed with the work All.u.re Workshop is doing. The Panel would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the 2013 BBP awards ceremony later this month and provide an opportunity for you to showcase your work.

AV Workshops has come to Wagga Wagga Christian College to present workshops to our high school boys and girls for years now; they are brilliant! The content was right on target, the students really engaged in the learning and had fun along the way. I highly recommend AV Workshops for any high school wanting to bring out the best in their students and enhance self-development.

“The workshops run by Valour challenge young high school boys to become ‘Men of ‘Valour’- that is, authentic young men who have a positive impact on their family, friends and community.”

The workshops run by Valour challenge high school boys to become ‘Men of ‘Valour’- that is, authentic young men who have respect and make a positive impact on their family, women and the community at large. As I often encounter the other side of this in my role, with dysfunction and abuse in families, I can't emphasis enough the importance of teaching boys these messages when they are still young.

Building healthy self-esteem and respect for others is important for everyone but especially for anyone settling into a completely new social environment. Let alone when they’ve also escaped from instability and are dealing with trauma, as our program participants have experience with all too often.

The content of the AV Workshop sessions are life changing for all students who participate!

Valour's message of authentic masculinity and respect for women was presented in a way that our boys were highly engaged and we were encouraged to see them showcase insight and depth during group presentations. All high schools with young men should consider having a workshop with Valour.
